Using the Hi- speed USB2.0 HDD enclosure

To use the Hi-speed USB2.0 HDD enclosure ,you simply connect it to your computer thru USB2.0 port with the USB cable .Windows ME ,2000,XP and above versions all can support this device without driver .However ,if u have Window 98 ,you will need to run the set-up programme .

Install the IDE &SATA HDD disk

1. open the top cover of the enclosure

2. connect your enclsoure with the IDE hare disk or SATA hare disk with the IDE cable or the SATA cable in the enclosure

3. close the case and connect the enclsoure to your computer thru the USB port in your computer with USB cable

Once u connecting the enclsoure with hard disk in it to your computer ,computer system will assign a drive letter to the device and usually designate it as a removeable disk .you can work just as u work with other driver disk and floppy diskette

3.5 Floopy (A:) Audio CD (E:) Removable Disk (G:)

and the safely Remove Hardware icon will appear on the widows taskbar .and you just simply clisk the icon to whop the device safely even when the computer is turned on .

To make sure that the device is intalled properly .and do follow below steps :start---Control panel----System----Device manager .and then go to the universal Serial Bus Controllers.Then a menu appears and click the “usb mass storage Device “ item

You ‘d better connect the Hi-speed device to the Hi-speed USB2.0 port .when connect to a non-Hi-speed USB2.0 port ,there an alert message appeared on the taskbar telling u that connected to non-Hi-speed USBport .though u can continue to practice ,it wil run at a lower speed .

Whopping the product properly

You must click the “safly remove hardware “ icon on the right of the taskbar,if u want to stop the product and then there a direction telling that the USB Mass storage device can now be safely remved .then u can whop the USBcable from the USB port

In Windows2000 or Windows ME ,when you whop the device without according the practices aboved .there a warning message showed that if u whop it without stopping it this may cause your computer to crash or lose some value data.also do not whop the enclosure when the read/write LED of is still on

Note:do not remove the device if the read/write LED of the Hi-speed USB 2.0device is on or blinking. And wait for the LED to turn off before remove the device safely

Installation under WINDOWS 98

Using the USB enclosure under Windows98 requires the USB Mass Storage Device Driver .but it’s unnessary under Windows ME or above.

1. Turn on your computer and boot to Windows ..Load the Hi-speed Usb2.0 disk utility Driver CD or diskette and run the SETUP.EXE.The install shield Wizard Welcome Diglog Box will then appear to display some imformation regarding the setuo programme and click the “next “block to continue

2.wait untill set-up has been finished .then click ‘finish” block
